Your First Visit

front desk welcome

You will be warmly welcomed upon arrival!

Before your first visit, we invite you to download and print out your new patient paperwork. Just fill it out and bring it with you. If this isn’t possible, you can complete the paperwork in the office.

You’ll be warmly greeted by one of our front desk staff members when you arrive. If you have insurance, she’ll make a copy of your card and then do all necessary insurance verification for you while you’re meeting with the doctor.

Your evaluation with Dr. Mark will include three parts:

  • A Consultation
  • An Examination
  • X-rays, if necessary (on-site)

This visit will also include your first gentle adjustment, and, depending on your condition and level of pain, other modalities may also be used to speed your recovery, such as ultrasound or electric muscle stimulation. Rest assured that we’ll take it slow and easy in the beginning so that we can get things moving and working again. Because all of our treatment is customized to the patient, Dr. Mark is diligent about keeping track of what works best for you.

At the conclusion of the appointment, Dr. Mark will give you home recommendations to follow, such as the use of ice or specific exercises.

Your Second Visit

During this visit, Dr. Mark will review your exam and X-ray findings. He’ll also want to see how you responded to your first treatment, and what changes may need to be made, either at home or in the workplace, to speed up your recovery. You’ll receive your second adjustment at this time, and he’ll continue to have you come in for treatment on a regular basis for the next week or two.

You’ll find that we never propose extensive treatment plans for our patients, with the exception of those involved in serious injury. We usually request a two-week window of time to demonstrate real progress with your condition, and will then customize any future treatments based on your individual needs and preferences.

Think of an adjustment as “tuning” a piano, adjusting each string so it produces the perfect tone.

Maintenance and Wellness Care

Some patients are concerned that once you start going to a chiropractor you have to go for the rest of your life. In our office, we have a reputation for tailored treatment that gets the job done in the shortest amount of time. We partner with you in helping to optimize your health, and in this case, you’re the senior partner! This partnership means that you’ll never be pressured to follow any particular course of action, come in for months of extended treatment or be coaxed into lifetime care.

Many of our patients do choose to be chiropractic patients for the rest of their lives, though, and it’s always because of the benefits they experience. Many effortlessly come to the realization that they feel better, move better and function better when they receive an adjustment once every month or two. You may feel the same way.

We’d love to help you feel better. Make a same-day appointment. We have convenient parking and accept most insurance plans. Book your appointment today!
